译文
我欲将花挽留，使之不要离我而去，可是一阵风儿还是将花吹走了，我徒自埋怨花的无情，看南园的花飞花落，更增加了我恋恋不舍的缠绵情意。可惜那些倾斜的千姿百态的一枝枝鲜花，经过一夜风雨的侵袭，变得散乱凋零。
我依靠在红色的栏杆上，手拿金杯，面对着南园被风雨侵袭过的花草，感慨惆怅不已。满园凋零的花草，本已让人惆怅，何况又想起往日的欢乐、今日的遗憾，阻挡住内心的期盼，剩下的只有不尽的思念。
注释
凤衔杯：词牌名，柳永自度曲，《乐章集》注“大石调”。双调六十三字，上片五句四仄韵，下片六句四仄韵。
怨：抱怨，怪罪于。
依依：留恋惜别的样子。
倒红斜白：向红花、白花倾斜。
离披：零乱不堪的样子。此指花落。
凭：倚着。朱槛（jiàn）：红色的栏杆。
把：动词。握、持。金卮（zhī）：金制酒器。
惆怅：伤感、失意。
心期：心中所思念、爱恋的人。此指晏殊的亡妻。

凤衔杯·留花不住怨花飞创作背景
这首词的具体创作年代已不详。从结尾的“何况旧欢新恨、阻心期。空满眼、是相思”来看，词人思念的人应是他的已故的妻子。这首就是对逝者怀有无限痛惜、深沉思念的作品。

凤衔杯·留花不住怨花飞鉴赏
是词写相思。前阕伤春，首三句写“怨”：“留花不住怨花飞，向南园、情绪依依。”主人公面对南园，叹息无力将春花留住，伤春情绪依依，愁怨落花漫天飞舞。“依依”的怨情，真如飞花般撩乱。“可惜”直白抒情，“倒红斜白”，红花倒伏，白花歪斜，一片狼藉；“一枝枝”，数不清，全都这样，满目惨状。经昨夜的一场风雨，再次受到摧残，零落凋谢的样子，目不忍睹：“依依”言情绪；“枝枝”言规模；“倒”、“斜”言惨状；“经”、“又”言反复，将“怨”情融入落花场景，充分表达了伤春情怀。
后阕抒相思之情。主人公凭靠朱栏，手举金杯，面对花残叶败的芳丛，惆怅经久不止。感情发展的脉络清楚，“惆怅多时”呼应“情绪依依”，渐进、发展到结尾，涌流而出：“何况旧欢新恨、阻心期。空满眼、是相思。”由暮春的落花起兴，言伤春之怀，言怀人之愁，结于相思之情。
这是一首惜春词，它细腻地表现了由凋零的花草引发的旧欢新恨。词人对被风雨吹打落地的花叶充满了怜惜之情，这种情景最易勾起他对已经逝去的美好事物的怀念，但终归徒然，故而又心生惆怅悲凄。无可奈何之际，只好独凭朱栏，以饮酒来稍作安慰，但新恨旧欢，总是遗忘不掉。表现了词人对人生那种无奈的又很痛苦的心理特征的深刻感悟。人生是痛苦的，但又必须坚持着度过。词人的心理非常细腻、敏感，对发生在世间的细微变化他都有清晰的描述。全词语言娴雅清丽，情绪抑扬婉转，写景中尽含情愫。

晏殊【yàn shū】（991-1055）字同叔，著名词人、诗人、散文家，北宋抚州府临川城人（今江西进贤县文港镇沙河人，位于香楠峰下，其父为抚州府手力节级），是当时的抚州籍第一个宰相。晏殊与其第七子晏几道（1037-1110），在当时北宋词坛上，被称为“大晏”和“小晏”。
