途中见杏花鉴赏
诗人漂泊在外，偶然见到一枝杏花，触动他满怀愁绪和联翩浮想，写下这首动人的诗。
“春色满园关不住，一枝红杏出墙来”，是宋人叶绍翁《游园不值》诗中的名句。杏花开在农历二月，正是春天到来的时候，那娇艳的红色就仿佛青春和生命的象征。经历过严冬漫长蛰居生活的人，早春季节走出户外，忽然望见邻家墙头上伸出一枝俏丽的花朵，想到春回大地，心情无比欣喜激动。叶绍翁的诗句就反映了这样的心理。可是吴融对此却别有衷怀。他正独自奔波于茫茫的旅途中，各种忧思盘结胸间，那枝昭示着青春与生命的杏花映入眼帘，却在他心头留下异样的苦涩滋味。
他并不是不爱鲜花，不爱春天，但他想到，花开易落，青春即逝，就是永远守着这枝鲜花观赏，也看不了得多少时间。想到这里，不免牵惹起无名的惆怅情绪。更何况自己行色匆匆，难以驻留，等不及花朵开尽，即刻就要离去。缘分如此短浅，令人倍觉难堪。
由于节候尚早，未到百花吐艳春意浓的时分，一般树木枝梢上还是空疏疏的，空气里的花香仍夹带着料峭的寒意，蝴蝶不见飞来采蜜，只有归巢的黄莺聊相陪伴。在这种情景下独自盛开的杏花，当会感到有几分孤独寂寞。这里融入诗人的身世之感，而杏花的形象也就由报春使者，转化为诗人的自我写照。
想象进一步驰骋，从眼前的鲜花更联想及往年在京城长安看到的千万树红杏。那一片蒙蒙的烟霞，辉映着阳光，弥漫、覆盖在神州（指中国）大地上，景象是绚丽夺目的。浮现于脑海的这幅长安杏花图，实际上代表着他深心忆念的长安生活。诗人被迫离开朝廷，到处飘零，心思仍然萦注于朝中。末尾这一联想的飞跃，恰恰泄露了他内心的秘密，点出了他的愁怀所在。
诗篇借杏花托兴，展开多方面的联想，把自己的惜春之情、流离之感、身世之悲、故国之思，一层深一层地抒写出来，笔法特别委婉细腻。晚唐诗人中，吴融作为温（庭筠）李（商隐）诗风的追随者，其最大特色则在于将温李的缛丽温馨引向了凄冷清疏的一路。此篇可以视为这方面的代表作。

吴融，唐代诗人。字子华，越州山阴（今浙江绍兴）人。吴融生于唐宣宗大中四年（850），卒于唐昭宗天复三年（903），享年五十四岁。他生当晚唐后期，一个较前期更为混乱、矛盾、黑暗的时代，他死后三年，曾经盛极一时的大唐帝国也就走入历史了，因此，吴融可以说是整个大唐帝国走向灭亡的见证者之一。
