昵昵儿女语，恩怨相尔汝。
译文：犹如一对亲昵的小儿女轻言细语，卿卿我我聚两个俏冤家暗叙哀曲。
注释：昵昵：亲热的样子。一作“妮妮”。尔汝：至友之间不讲客套，以你我相称。这里表示亲近。
划然变轩昂，勇士赴敌场。
译文：豪放得如风展旗是谁正高歌引吭，有勇士似电掣马挥长剑杀敌擒王。
注释：划然：忽地一下。轩昂：形容音乐高亢雄壮。
浮云柳絮无根蒂，天地阔远随飞扬。
译文：又转成浮云依依柳絮起无根无蒂，没奈何圆天茫茫道路迷宕东宕西。
注释：“浮云”两句：形容音乐飘逸悠扬。
喧啾百鸟群，忽见孤凤皇。(凤皇一作凤凰）
译文：叽叽啾啾分明是烟霞中羽光翻浪，影影绰绰兀立在乔木上百凤朝凰。
注释：“喧啾”四句：形容音乐既有百鸟喧哗般的丰富热闹，又有主题乐调的鲜明嘹亮，高低抑扬，起伏变化。喧啾：喧闹嘈杂。凤皇：即“凤凰”。
跻攀分寸不可上，失势一落千丈强。
译文：峭壁悬崖压人来寸步都攀援难上，黑壑深渊崩石下千丈犹轰隆传响。
注释：跻攀：犹攀登。唐杜甫《白水县崔少府十九翁高斋三十韵》：“清晨陪跻攀，傲睨俯峭壁。”
嗟余有两耳，未省听丝篁。
译文：惭愧呀我空有耳朵一双，对音乐太外行不懂欣赏。
注释：未省：不懂得。丝篁：弹拨乐器，此指琴。
自闻颖师弹，起坐在一旁。
译文：听了你这琴声忽柔忽刚，振人起强人坐令人低昂。
注释：起坐：忽起忽坐，激动不已的样子。旁：一作“床”。
推手遽止之，湿衣泪滂滂。
译文：仓皇中我伸手把琴遮挡，泪潮呀早已经汹涌盈眶。
注释：推手：伸手。遽：急忙。滂滂：热泪滂沱的样子。
颖乎尔诚能，无以冰炭置我肠！
译文：颖师傅好功夫实非寻常，别再把冰与火填我胸膛。
注释：诚能：指确实有才能的人。冰炭置我肠：形容自己完全被琴声所左右，一会儿满心愉悦，一会儿心情沮丧。犹如说水火，两者不能相容。

韩愈（768～824）字退之，唐代文学家、哲学家、思想家，河阳（今河南省焦作孟州市）人，汉族。祖籍河北昌黎，世称韩昌黎。晚年任吏部侍郎，又称韩吏部。谥号“文”，又称韩文公。他与柳宗元同为唐代古文运动的倡导者，主张学习先秦两汉的散文语言，破骈为散，扩大文言文的表达功能。宋代苏轼称他“文起八代之衰”，明人推他为唐宋八大家之首，与柳宗元并称“韩柳”，有“文章巨公”和“百代文宗”之名，作品都收在《昌黎先生集》里。韩愈在思想上是中国“道统”观念的确立者，是尊儒反佛的里程碑式人物。
